Hangzhou is the
capital city of Zhejiang
Province and was used to be
the capital of the State of
Wu and the South Song

West Lake Scenic Area |
|
The lake was so called because of
its location-west of Hangzhou. There are
36 West Lakes in China, and Hangzhou's
West Lake is the inspiration for them
all. Surrounded by mountains on the
three sides, the West Lake enjoys the
same reputation as the city, Hangzhou.
The Baidi Causeway links up with
Solitary Hill is a large island brimming
with plants and grassy parks. The Flower
Harbour is the home to thousands of

Lingyin Temple |
|
Lingyin Temple is one of
the famous ancient Buddhist
temple of China. Located at the
foot of Mount Lingyin, the
temple boasts many relics and
historic sites. Lingyin Temple
was first built in 326 during
the reign of Eastern Jin period
by the Emperor Xianhe. 330 stone
statues founded here place an
important position in the art of
sculpture in ancient China. |

Six Harmonies Pagoda |

Erected
in 970, this 60m octagonal giant
was served as a lighthouse
overlooking the calm Qiantang
River. It is a wooden-and-brick
structure, a master piece of
ancient Chinese architecture and
also the best place to have a
panorama of the Qiangtang River.
