D02 Tiananmen Square  Forbidden City  Temple of Heaven

Pick up from your hotel in the morning. Visit the world largest square-Tiananmen Square.  Then move on to the largest Imperial Palace in the world-Forbidden City where 24 emperors of Ming & Qing dynasty lived and controlled China from there for several hundred years. After lunch, visit the Temple of Heaven and enjoy free shopping at pearl market. Enjoy Acrobatic Show after Beijing Roast Duck dinner, the most famous cuisine of Beijing. Transfer back to your hotel.( B+L+D )

Take a 2 hrs drive to Badaling Great Wall- the landmark of China. On the way, visit the jade factory where you can buy some souvenirs.  After Chinese style lunch,  visit the Changling Mausoleum, the largest of the 13 Ming Tombs.  Transfer back to hotel.( B+L )

Take rickshaw (Jianozi) to explore the picturesque Shishahai Lake area and “Hutong”, the traditional building complex formed by four houses around a quadrangular courtyard. Visit a free market and the Drum Tower where visitors will enjoy a bird view of the ancient city. Cook and enjoy your lunch in a common Beijing family. This afternoon you will visit  the Summer Palace and enjoy free shopping at silk complex.  Transfer to the railway station to connect overnight train 1163# (1903pm/0731am) to Pingyao.

As one of the 4 best-preserved ancient cities of China, Pingyao has been listed as a world heritage site. Tour features the Ming-qing Street,  the City Wall of Pingyao and Rishengchang, the earliest bank appeared in China. Transfer back to hotel. (L)

Enjoy free walk in Pingyao Ancient City in the morning. After lunch, take a 2 hrs drive to Hougou Ancient Village, the only ancient hamlet in China designated as a farming heritage site. Proceed to Taiyuan railway station for Train 2535(1812pm/0745am) to Xian. (B+L)

Arrive in Xian at 0745am. Meet our local guide and transfer to hotel first. Full day tour features the Terracotta warriors and Ancient City Wall.
