Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport located in Huadu District is 28 kilometres (17 mile) north of downtown Guangzhouand. The airport was opened on August 5, 2004 and it is the primary airport of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong province, China. The airport was China's 2nd busiest and world's 19th busiest airport in 2011.

The 4-floor terminal building of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, divided inot the Main Building, Connection Building, terminal concourses and elevated passages. The minus-one floor links with the subway station and the parking places. The first floor as the Arrivals Hall and the second floor is the Arrivals Interlayer. The third floor is for Departures. Taxis and Airport Shuttle Bus stop at the doorway of the Departure Hall on the third floor.
For departures, the terminal has A and B boarding areas, wih A boarding area on the east, and the B boarding area on the west. Each of the 2 boarding areas divided into 3 smaller concourses. East 1 to East 3 at A boarding area and West 1 to West 3 within the B boarding area. East 1 serves international flights and the rest serve more than 110 air routes internal flights from Guangzhou to over 100 domestic cities.
