Shanghai Pudong International Airport (IATA: PVG, ICAO: ZSPD) (SSE: 600009) is the primary Shanghai international airport serving Shanghai. It is a Shanghai Pudong Airport is located about 30 kilometres east of Shanghai city centre , is a major aviation hub for Asia.
Shanghai Pudong Airport has two main passenger terminals and it is the main hub for China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, Air China, Juneyao Airlines and Spring Airlines.In sum, Pudong Airport hosted 87 airlines serving 194 destinations. Shanghai Pudong Airport Terminal 1
To relieve Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport's traffic, T1 was opened on October 1, 1999 along with a 4000m runway and including a cargo hub. The exterior of the terminal is shaped like waves. The capacity of Terminal 1 is 20 million passengers, which has 204 check-in counters, 13 luggage conveying belts.
Shanghai Pudong Airport Terminal 2 gives a capacity of 60 million passengers and 4.2 million tonnes of cargo annually. Opened on 26 March 2008, Terminal 2 is primarily used by Air China and other Star Alliance members. There are more than 30 airlines are now operating at Terminal 2, such as Shanghai Airlines, Air India, Northwest Airlines, Qatar Airways, Alitalia, British Airways, Qantas, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Philippine Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Transaero Airlines, Cebu Pacific, Aerosvit Airlines, Garuda Indonesia and Royal Nepal Airlines, Air Canada, Air China, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways and United Airlines,etc.

- Shanghai Maglev
The 30-km Maglev Shanghai runs between Pudong Shanghai International Airport and the Shanghai Lujiazui financial district. An end-to-end ride takes about eight minutes.

A five-section Maglev Shanghai achieved the top speed of 501 km/h while another vehicle passed at 430 km/h on the adjacent track. The Maglev in Shanghai has a design speed of over 500 km/h and a regular service speed of 430 km/h.
- Metro Shanghai Line 2
Shanghai Metro Line 2 is part of the Shanghai Metro system, it links Pudong International Airport and to downtown Shanghai such as Longyang Road, Lujiazui, People's Square, and Hongqiao International Airport. Metro Line 2 offers free in-system transfer to other lines with ticket prices ranging from 3 RMB to 10 RMB.
Metro Line 2 prices are lower than the Maglev. From Pudong International Airport to Longyang Road and Lujiazui cost ￥6. Pudong Airport to People's Square is ￥7 and ￥8 to Hongqiao International Airport. The down side of Metro Line is the ride takes longer due to lower speed of trains. It is recommended to have more than five hours for a safe flight transfer at Hongqiao International Airport when using public transportation.
