Itinerary

Day 1 Beijing Arrival

On arrival in Beijing, meet our driver and transfer to Beijing hotel.

Hotel: 3 star King Parkview Hotel or similar

Day 2 Beijing City Tour

Pick up from your Beijing hotel at 0830am. Visit the largest square of the world, Tiananmen Square.  Followed with the largest Imperial Palace in the world-Forbidden City where 24 emperors of Ming & Qing dynasty lived and controlled China from there for several hundred years.

After typical Chinese lunch at local restaurant, head to the Temple of Heaven which was built in 1420, once was the venue for the Ming and Qing emperors to offer sacrifices to Heaven and pray for good harvest for the coming new year.
The next stop is the Summer Palace. Known as the largest and best-preserved imperial gardens of the world, the Summer Palace inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1998.
Transfer back to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 3 Badaling Great Wall

Pick up from your hotel at 0730am to 0830am. Take a 2 hrs drive to Badaling Great Wall, the symbol of ancient Chinese civilization and the landmark of China. Badaling Great Wall: It is the most famous section of Great Wall in Beijing which built more than 600 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. This section is some 70km away to downtown Beijing by superhighway and it is the closest section of the Great Wall to Beijing which can be visited in a half day. Badadling Great Wall was completely restored after 1957. Hiking the Great Wall (cable car is optional) for 1.5 hrs and head to the largest restaurant to enjoy a typical Chinese style lunch.
Take a 45 minutes drive to the Changling Mausoleum, the largest of the 13 Ming Tombs. The 13 Ming Tombs are the cemeteries of the 13 Ming emperors after the Ming Dynasty moved the capital to Beijing. The imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties are four groups of tombs in four provinces of eastern China. The tombs, designed in keeping with the Chinese principles of geomancy (fengshui), provide outstanding evidence of Chinese beliefs and traditional from the 14th century onwards and are significant examples of architecture and applied arts from that period.
Pass by Olympic Green, the "Bird's Nest" & "Water Cube".
Badaling Great Wall tour ends and transfer back to your hotel Beijing in the late afternoon.

Day 4 Beijing to Xian by train

Pick up at your hotel between 7:30am and 8:30am, and then driving to Beijing Zoo where you can see the lovely Giant Pandas. The Panda Zoo visit takes about 40 minutes.
We will arrange 45 minutes to take pictures at the Bird's nest and water cube. If you are interested in the inner structure of the stadiums, the tour guide will assist you in buying the tickets, and you could enter in the stadiums for a visit yourself.
Then take you to the largest Lama Temple of Beijing --- Yonghe Temple, 1 hour tour for the mysterious Tibet style Buddhism temple. The Lama Temple tour finishes at about 11:00.
You will be arranged to have lunch with locals in a typical Beijing resident's house. Then visit the old Beijing lanes by taking rickshaws. Hutong tour lasts for 2 hours.
Then drive you to the Jingshan park. It is an former imperial garden, lies to the east of Beihai Park. The mid summit of Jingshan is the highest point in Beijing. Looking from the peak, you are able to get a full and clear view of the Forbidden City. The jingshan park visit takes about 40 minutes.
Transfer to railway station and board train Z19 (20:47pm-07:58am) to Xian.

Day 5 Xian Arrival

Arrive in Xian in the morning. Meet our local guide and visit the Banpo Museum first. Banpo Neolithic Village Museum is named from the remains of Banpo village which is located east of Xian. The remains were discovered in 1953. The village was inhabited from about 4500 BC. It is recorded that about 6000 years ago, a village was set up by a late Neolithic people. There were about 500 villagers who lived in the village. Visitors can still see the remains of over 40 houses, over 200 cellars, 6 kilns.
Pay a 30 minutes short visit to the Qin Terra-cotta figures factory.
After China style lunch, visit Terracotta soldiers Museum. Terracotta soldiers group tour It is not only reputed as the world's largest Military Museum but also the Eighth Wonder of the world.
The Qin Shi Huang Tomb is the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221BC-207BC) and also of China. Covering 2.13 square kilometers, the four-layered mausoleum, like a well-structured city, includes an underground palace, which is the center of the mausoleum, an inner city, outer city and grounds.
Check in our Xian hotel around 1800pm.

Day 6 Xian City Tour

Pick up from your hotel lobby in the morning. Our Xian tour start with Shaanxi History Museum which built after the model of Tang Dynasty and featured with a total of 3,000 relics, ranging from 115,000-year-old prehistory articrafts to items from the Opium Wars of the 1840's.
Have Chinese style lunch at local restaurante.
After lunch, visit Xian Ancient City Wall. It has been preserved intact, which is rarely seen in the world. The construction of the Xian City was formally started in the seventh year of Emperor Hongwu's reign (1374) and completed in the eleventh year of Hongwu's reign (1378). The rectangular city wall is 13.7 kilometers in circumference and has 5,984 crenels and 98 places for the garriosn troops to stay in.
Then pay a visit to the Muslim Street. Enjoy an exterior tour to Bell Tower or Drum Tower.
Transfer back to your hotel Xian.

Day 7 Fly to Guilin

Transfer to airport for Guilin, heart of Southwest China and home of the nation's most spectacular natural scenery with the astonishing limestone caves and rivers. Meet our local guide and visit the picturesque Reed Flute Cave which has some of the best scenery in Guilin. 
A la carte lunch.
Followed with a visit to the Elephant Trunk Hill, Guilin's best known site and it is the symbol of Guilin. Transfer to our Guilin hotel.

Day 8 Guilin Li River cruise tour


Enjoy a downstream cruise on the Li River which moves gently between Guilin's lovely peaks. It is called the "hundred-mile art gallery". Stop at the town named Yangshuo, which is embraced by a dozen of limestone karst mountains, and "has the best scenery in Guilin".
Explore the West Street in Yangshuo, a 2km stretch crammed with pubs, shops and hotels. Glimpses of the rich culture can be found in many shops selling local products.
Pick up from West Street at 1630pm and take 1 hr drive back to your hotel in Guilin. End of our memorable Li River cruise tour.

Day 9 Guilin Chongqing by air

Free at leisure till pick up from hotel and transfer to airport to connect flight to Chongqing.
On arrival in Chongqing, meet our guide and visit Hongqyadong. Located in commercial district of Chongqing, Hongyadong combines travel, business, and cultural scenery into one grand view. The area overlooks the intersection of two rivers, and has a bustling nightlife and other leisure entertainment services.
Visit the Ciqikou Old Street and enjoy free shopping at JIefangbei Shopping Street if time permit. Board the Yangtze cruise around 18:00pm.

Day 10 Yangtze cruising - Shibaozhai

Take a shore excursion to Shibaozhai, with its impressive wooden pagoda, appropriately named “The Pearl of the Yangtze”. Depending on river conditions, an alternate excursion may be substituted to Fengdu, visiting the new relocation village built for families who have moved as a result of the Yangtze’s rising waters brought about by the Three Gorges Dam. Additional optional Shore Excursion to Fengdu’s “Ghost City” on your own arrangment, known for its statues of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill.

Day 11 Three Gorges - “Small Gorges” - Shiplock

Enter the Three Gorges, one of nature’s most extraordinary sculptures. Today you will pass through the first two—Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Qutang Gorge is the shortest (5 miles), narrowest (500 feet), and most dramatic. The 25-mile long Wu Gorge is known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains, and cliffs so sheer that the sun barely penetrates the precipices. Transfer to another vessel for a relaxing excursion through the attractive gorges of Goddess Stream. Depending on river conditions, an alternate excursion may be substituted to the gorges of Shennong Stream. Enter Xiling Gorge, the longest (41 miles), and the deepest of the Three Gorges. In the evening, sail through the Three Gorges Dam ship locks. Additional optional Shore Excursion to White Emperor City on your own cost, an ancient city overlooking the western end of Qutang Gorge.

Day 12 Yichang Shanghai by fast train

At San Dou Ping, see the progress at the historic Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric project. Sail on to Yichang. Met by the local guide and transferred to railway station to board fast train D2208 (15:00-23:15 8h15m) to Shanghai.
Upon arrival, meet our driver and transfer to hotel.

Day 13 Shanghai City Tour

Pick up from inner ring Shanghai hotels or transfer to starting hotel Shanghai on your own.
Our Shanghai coach tour started with a visit to the Ming era Yu Garden which is the most famous classical garden of Shanghai. Followed a visit to the more impressive Bund. Known as the symbol of Shanghai, the Bund featured with 52 high-rises of all styles stand in the west, showing the art of world architecture. Then pay a visit to the "Xintiandi" and the Former French Concession Area.
After lunch, visit the Jade Buddha Temple which was built in 1882, is a well preserved Buddhist temple. Then visit the Shanghai Museum.
Shanghai coach tour finished with a visit to the People's Square.
Shanghai bus tour ends and transfer back to starting hotel.

Day 14 Depart Shanghai

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport or railway station for next destination.
