Itinerary

Day 1 Beijing Arrival

Upon your arrival in Beijing, our driver will be waiting for you outside the arrival hall of the airport after you finish the check-out procedures. A comfortable private transfer will take you to the hotel in downtown area.

Hotel: 3 star Holiday Inn Express Temple of Heaven or similar

Day 2 Beijing City Tour

Pick up from your Beijing hotel at 0830am. Visit the largest square of the world, Tiananmen Square.  Followed with the largest Imperial Palace in the world-Forbidden City (UNESCO) where 24 emperors of Ming & Qing dynasty lived and controlled China from there for several hundred years.

After typical Chinese lunch at local restaurant, head to the Temple of Heaven (UNESCO) which was built in 1420, once was the venue for the Ming and Qing emperors to offer sacrifices to Heaven and pray for good harvest for the coming new year.
The next stop is the Summer Palace (UNESCO). Known as the largest and best-preserved imperial gardens of the world, the Summer Palace inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1998.
Transfer back to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 3 Beijing to Xian by train

Pick up from your hotel at 0730am to 0830am. Take a 2 hrs drive to Badaling Great Wall (UNESCO), the symbol of ancient Chinese civilization and the landmark of China. Badaling Great Wall: It is the most famous section of Great Wall in Beijing which built more than 600 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. This section is some 70km away to downtown Beijing by superhighway and it is the closest section of the Great Wall to Beijing which can be visited in a half day. Badadling Great Wall was completely restored after 1957.Hiking the Great Wall (cable car is optional) for 1.5 hrs and head to the largest restaurant to enjoy a typical Chinese style lunch.
Take a 45 minutes drive to the Changling Mausoleum (UNESCO), the largest of the 13 Ming Tombs. The 13 Ming Tombs are the cemeteries of the 13 Ming emperors after the Ming Dynasty moved the capital to Beijing.
The imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties are four groups of tombs in four provinces of eastern China. The tombs, designed in keeping with the Chinese principles of geomancy (fengshui), provide outstanding evidence of Chinese beliefs and traditional from the 14th century onwards and are significant examples of architecture and applied arts from that period.
Pass by Olympic Green, the "Bird's Nest" & "Water Cube".
Transfer to railway station to board train for Xian.

Day 4 Terracotta Warriors Tour

Arrive in Xian in the morning, greeted by our guide at railway station and pay a visit to Terra cotta soldiers Museum (UNESCO). Terra cotta soldiers is not only reputed as the world's largest Military Museum but also the Eighth Wonder of the world. Terra cotta Warriors tour lasts about 4 hours.
The Qin Shi Huang Tomb is the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221BC-207BC) and also of China. Covering 2.13 square kilometers, the four-layered mausoleum, like a well-structured city, includes an underground palace, which is the center of the mausoleum, an inner city, outer city and grounds.
Terra cotta Warriors tour end and return to our Xian hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 5 Xian Sightseeing

Pick up from your hotel lobby in the morning. Our Xian tour start with Shaanxi History Museum which built after the model of Tang Dynasty and featured with a total of 3,000 relics, ranging from 115,000-year-old prehistory articrafts to items from the Opium Wars of the 1840's.
Afterwards, visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda including Xian Museum after breakfast, which is one of the most important surviving marks of the ancient capital Chang'an in the Tang Dynasty.
Then pay a visit to the Muslim Street. Enjoy an exterior tour to Bell Tower or Drum Tower.
Transfer to railway station and board train K1002 (21:39-08:30 10h51m)to Chongqing.

Day 6 Chongqing Arrival

On arrival in Chongqing, meet our guide and visit Hongqyadong. Located in commercial district of Chongqing, Hongyadong combines travel, business, and cultural scenery into one grand view. The area overlooks the intersection of two rivers, and has a bustling nightlife and other leisure entertainment services.
Board the Yangtze cruise around 18:00pm.

Day 7 Yangtze cruising - Shibaozhai

Take a shore excursion to Shibaozhai, with its impressive wooden pagoda, appropriately named “The Pearl of the Yangtze”. Depending on river conditions, an alternate excursion may be substituted to Fengdu, visiting the new relocation village built for families who have moved as a result of the Yangtze’s rising waters brought about by the Three Gorges Dam. Additional optional Shore Excursion to Fengdu’s “Ghost City” on your own arrangment, known for its statues of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill.

Day 8 Three Gorges - “Small Gorges” - Shiplock

Enter the Three Gorges, one of nature’s most extraordinary sculptures. Today you will pass through the first two—Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Qutang Gorge is the shortest (5 miles), narrowest (500 feet), and most dramatic. The 25-mile long Wu Gorge is known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains, and cliffs so sheer that the sun barely penetrates the precipices. Transfer to another vessel for a relaxing excursion through the attractive gorges of Goddess Stream. Depending on river conditions, an alternate excursion may be substituted to the gorges of Shennong Stream. Enter Xiling Gorge, the longest (41 miles), and the deepest of the Three Gorges. In the evening, sail through the Three Gorges Dam ship locks. Additional optional Shore Excursion to White Emperor City on your own cost, an ancient city overlooking the western end of Qutang Gorge.

Day 9 Yichang Shanghai by fast train

At San Dou Ping, see the progress at the historic Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric project. Sail on to Yichang. Met by the local guide and transferred to railway station to board fast train D2208 (15:00-23:15 8h15m) to Shanghai.
Upon arrival, meet our driver and transfer to hotel.

Day 10 Shanghai City Tour

Pick up from inner ring Shanghai hotels or transfer to starting hotel Shanghai on your own.
Our Shanghai coach tour started with a visit to the Ming era Yu Garden which is the most famous classical garden of Shanghai. Followed a visit to the more impressive Bund. Known as the symbol of Shanghai, the Bund featured with 52 high-rises of all styles stand in the west, showing the art of world architecture. Then pay a visit to the "Xintiandi" and the Former French Concession Area.
After lunch, visit the Jade Buddha Temple which was built in 1882, is a well preserved Buddhist temple. Then visit the Shanghai Museum.
Shanghai coach tour finished with a visit to the People's Square.
Shanghai bus tour ends and transfer back to starting hotel.

Day 11 Depart Shanghai

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport or railway station for next destination.
