Itinerary

Day 1 Beijing Arrival

On arrival in Beijing, greet and meet at Beijing airport and transfer to hotel. Refresh and relax at leisure.

Hotel: 5 star Prime Hotel Wangfujing or similar

Day 2 Beijing

Visit to the world largest square-Tiananmen Square after breakfast. Then move on to the largest Imperial Palace in the world-Forbidden City (UNESCO) where 24 emperors of Ming & Qing dynasty lived and controlled China from there for several hundred years.
Lunch served at local restuarant. Pay a visit to the Temple of Heaven (UNESCO) which was built in 1420, once was the venue for the Ming and Qing emperors to offer sacrifices to Heaven and pray for good harvest for the coming new year. Dinner will be the most famous local delicacy - Beijing Roast Duck and then enjoy the fantastic Legend of Kung Fu Show.

Day 3 Beijing

Breakfast served at hotel. Take a 2 hrs drive to Badaling Great Wall(UNESCO), the symbol of ancient Chinese civilization and the landmark of China.
Badaling Great Wall -It is one of the most famous sections among the Great Wall of China in Beijing which built more than 600 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. This section is some 70km away to downtown Beijing by superhighway and it is the closest section of the Great Wall to Beijing which can be visited in a half day. Great Wall at Badadling section was completely restored after 1957.
Return to downtown Beijing and visit the Summer Palace. Built in 1750 and known as the existing largest, best-preserved imperial gardens of the world, a favorite retreat for many of the emperors during the Qing Dynasty and the Summer Palace inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1998.
On the way back to your hotel, enjoy an exterior tour of Olympic Green, the "Bird's Nest" & "Water Cube". Then, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 4 Beijing to Xian by high speed train

After breakfast at hotel, visit Beijing's hutong neighbourhoods lined by traditional courtyard homes will be explored by pedicab including a visit to a local home. You will be arranged to have lunch with locals in a typical Beijing resident's house. Afterwards, transfer to railway station to board high speed train to Xian.
Upon arrival, greet and meet at Xian railway station and check in our hotel in Xian.

Day 5 Xian

Pick up from hotel after breakfast. Our sightseeing this morning features the Terracotta Warriors Army and Horses Museum. It is not only reputed as the world's Largest Military Museum but also the Eighth Wonder of the world. Found in 1974, it covers the three going hand in hand with pits of the first head of Qin's mausoleum. Everybody who visits here will be overpowered by its fabulous scale, exciting scenes, elevated expectation of science and workmanship in the antiquated times.Terracotta Warriors tour lasts about 3hrs.
In the afternoon, take a stroll through the lively streets nearby the Bell & Drum Towers.
Enjoy the Tang Dynasty Show after a delectable Dumpling dinner.

Day 6 Xian to Chongqing by flight

After breakfast,visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda including Xian Museum after breakfast, which is one of the most important surviving marks of the ancient capital Chang'an in the Tang Dynasty.Transfer to airport to connect flight to Chongqing.
On arrival in Chongqing, meet our guide and visit Hongqyadong. Located in commercial district of Chongqing, Hongyadong combines travel, business, and cultural scenery into one grand view. The area overlooks the intersection of two rivers, and has a bustling nightlife and other leisure entertainment services.
Visit the Ciqikou Old Street and enjoy free shopping at Jiefangbei Shopping Street if time permit. Board the Yangtze cruise after dinner.

Day 7 Yangtze cruising - Shibaozhai

Take a shore excursion to Shibaozhai, with its impressive wooden pagoda, appropriately named “The Pearl of the Yangtze”. Depending on river conditions, an alternate excursion may be substituted to Fengdu, visiting the new relocation village built for families who have moved as a result of the Yangtze’s rising waters brought about by the Three Gorges Dam. Additional optional Shore Excursion to Fengdu’s “Ghost City” on your own arrangment, known for its statues of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill.

Day 8 Three Gorges - “Small Gorges” - Shiplock

Enter the Three Gorges, one of nature’s most extraordinary sculptures. Today you will pass through the first two—Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Qutang Gorge is the shortest (5 miles), narrowest (500 feet), and most dramatic. The 25-mile long Wu Gorge is known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains, and cliffs so sheer that the sun barely penetrates the precipices. Transfer to another vessel for a relaxing excursion through the attractive gorges of Goddess Stream. Depending on river conditions, an alternate excursion may be substituted to the gorges of Shennong Stream. Enter Xiling Gorge, the longest (41 miles), and the deepest of the Three Gorges. In the evening, sail through the Three Gorges Dam ship locks. Additional optional Shore Excursion to White Emperor City on your own cost, an ancient city overlooking the western end of Qutang Gorge.

Day 9 Yichang to Shanghai by flight

After breakfast, visit to the Three Gorges Dam at Sandouping, the largest in the world. Arrive Yichang in late morning and disembark.Transfer to airport and take flight to Shanghai.
On arrival, greet and meet by our guide and check in our hotel in Shanghai. Following the dinner is an exciting Acrobatics Show in the evening.

Day 10 Shanghai

Breakfast served at hotel. Visit the colonial Bund waterfront. Known as the symbol of Shanghai, the Bund featured with 52 high-rises of all styles stand in the west, showing the art of world architecture. The Bund lines the Huangpu River with unimpeded views of the modern Pudong Skyline. Once home to trading houses & financial institutions, the buildings along the Bund are of European style. Later, visit the Shanghai Museum located at No. 201 Renmin Avenue, one of the must-see Shanghai tourist attractions Shanghai, is well-known as a museum of ancient Chinese art.Then take a stroll through the historic & trendy Xintiandi neighbhourhood, a bar, restaurant, café & entertainment district. Among the main features of the district are the mid 19th century Shikumen, or Stone Gate, buildings flanking narrow alleys and streets. Then you will have free time to shop at Nanjing Road where there are plenty of large stores and boutiques.

Day 11 Depart Shanghai

After breakfast, transfer to airport for your departure flight.
