Itinerary

Day 1 Canada - Beijing

Take overnight international flight form Toronto Pearson International Airport for Beijing.

Day 2 Beijing Arrival

Arrive at the airport of Beijing, greeted by our tour guide and transfer to our city centre located deluxy 5 star hotel. Refresh and relax at leisure.
Hotel: 5 star Prime Hotel Beijing Wangfujing or similar

Day 3 Beijing City Tour

Pick up from your Beijing hotel at 0830am. Visit the largest square of the world, Tiananmen Square.  Followed with the largest Imperial Palace in the world-Forbidden City (UNESCO) where 24 emperors of Ming & Qing dynasty lived and controlled China from there for several hundred years.
You will be arranged to have lunch with locals in a typical Beijing resident's house. Then visit the old Beijing lanes by taking rickshaws.
Then head to the Temple of Heaven (UNESCO) which was built in 1420, once was the venue for the Ming and Qing emperors to offer sacrifices to Heaven and pray for good harvest for the coming new year.
After that, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 4 Great Wall Tour

Breakfast served at hotel. Take a 2 hrs drive to Badaling Great Wall (UNESCO), the symbol of ancient Chinese civilization and the landmark of China.
Badaling Great Wall - It is one of the most famous sections among the Great Wall of China in Beijing which built more than 600 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. This section is some 70km away to downtown Beijing by superhighway and it is the closest section of the Great Wall to Beijing which can be visited in a half day. Great Wall at Badadling section was completely restored after 1957.
Return to downtown Beijing and visit the Summer Palace (UNESCO). Built in 1750 and known as the existing largest, best-preserved imperial gardens of the world, a favorite retreat for many of the emperors during the Qing Dynasty and the Summer Palace inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1998.
On the way back to your hotel, enjoy an exterior tour of Olympic Green, the "Bird's Nest" & "Water Cube". Then, we will transfer you back to your hotel.

Day 5 Beijing Xian by flight

Check out hotel after breakfast and take flight (2hrs10min) to Xian.
On arrival, greeted by our guide at exit of Xian Railway Station and then visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda including Xian Museum, which is one of the most important surviving marks of the ancient capital Chang'an in the Tang Dynasty.
Then pay a visit to the Muslim Street. Enjoy an exterior tour to Bell Tower or Drum Tower. Afterwards, check in hotel.

Day 6 Terracotta Tour

After hotel breakfast, take a drive to the Terra cotta Warriors Museum (UNESCO).Found in 1974, it covers the three going hand in hand with pits of the first head of Qin's mausoleum. Everybody who visits here will be overpowered by its fabulous scale, exciting scenes, elevated expectation of science and workmanship in the antiquated times.
Visit the No.1 Pit first, the largest and first unearthed pit, which has over 6,000 full-scale terra cotta warriors and horses. There are some 1,000 of terra cotta soldiers have been unearthed and ranked at a well-organized battle array. Then move on to the Terra Cotta Pit No.2. It is more spectacular where the general, the kneeling archer and the warrior with saddle horse were excavated. The last stop is the Pit No.3, which is smaller than the previous two, but it is said to be the headquarters of the emperor's army. The terra cotta museum tour last about 3 hours.

Day 7 Xian Shanghai by flight

After breakfast check out hotel and take flight to Shanghai, the largest city of China.Greeted at airport and then head to Nanjing Road for free shopping after lunch.

Day 8 Shanghai City Tour

Breakfast served at hotel. Visit the colonial Bund waterfront. Known as the symbol of Shanghai, the Bund featured with 52 high-rises of all styles stand in the west, showing the art of world architecture. The Bund lines the Huangpu River with unimpeded views of the modern Pudong Skyline. Once home to trading houses & financial institutions, the buildings along the Bund are of European style. Later, visit the Shanghai Museum located at No. 201 Renmin Avenue, one of the must-see Shanghai tourist attractions Shanghai, is well-known as a museum of ancient Chinese art.Then take a stroll through the historic & trendy Xintiandi neighbhourhood, a bar, restaurant, café & entertainment district. Among the main features of the district are the mid 19th century Shikumen, or Stone Gate, buildings flanking narrow alleys and streets.

Day 9 Shanghai Yichang by flight

Take early morning flight to Yichang after breakfast. Greeted at Yichang airport by our guide and then visit Riverside Park. The park is located in the center of Yichang City, lying on the Yangtze River. The municipal government has invested more than 1000 million, built a double pavilion Square, Zhenjiang Pavilion and a number of attractions.
Then visit the Yichang Museum. The Museum has an accumulation of more than 30,000 bits of social relics, among which 17,035 pieces were found by archeologists in Yichang locale and 95 pieces recorded as top of the line relics in China. There are three primary show corridors in the exhibition hall with an aggregate range of 920 square meters showing inside and out 617 bits of relics, 230 photographs and drawings and 100 bits of content.

Day 10 Three Gorges Dam/Xiling Gorge

Disembark this morning and take a specially-designed sightseeing boat through the recently-completed unique ship lock with a ship lift, the world’s largest. The lock will be transited in about 40 minutes to an hour. Then visit the Three Gorges Dam, which spans the Yangtze River at Sandouping; it is the world’s largest power station. Sail through Xiling Gorge, the longest (41 miles), and the deepest of the Three Gorges. Additional optional Tribe of the Three Gorges Shore Excursion on your own (river conditions permitting), offering an interesting glimpse into life in the Xiling Gorge region.

Day 11 “Small Gorges”/Wu Gorge/Qutang Gorge

Transfer to another vessel for a relaxing excursion through the attractive gorges of Goddess Stream. Depending on river conditions, an alternate excursion may be substituted to the gorges of Shennong Stream. Enter Wu Gorge, known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains, and cliffs so sheer that the sun barely penetrates the precipices. Then sail through Qutang Gorge, the shortest (5 miles), narrowest (500 feet), and most dramatic gorge. Additional optional Shore Excursion to White Emperor City on your own arrangement (river conditions permitting), an ancient city overlooking the western end of Qutang Gorge.

Day 12 Shibaozhai

Take a shore excursion to Shibaozhai, with its impressive wooden pagoda, appropriately named “The Pearl of the Yangtze”. Depending on river conditions, an alternate excursion may be substituted to Fengdu, visiting either the new relocation village built for families who have moved as a result of the Yangtze’s rising waters brought about by the Three Gorges Dam. Additional optional Shore Excursion to Fengdu’s “Ghost City” on your own arrangement (river conditions permitting), known for its statues of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill.

Day 13 Chongqing Beijing by flight

Arrive Chongqing - 9:00am: Disembark at picturesque Chongqing, the “Mountain City”.Greeted by our guide at pier. Then visit Chongqing Zoo, where you can see the Giant Panda.Then visit Hongqyadong. Located in commercial district of Chongqing, Hongyadong combines travel, business, and cultural scenery into one grand view. The area overlooks the intersection of two rivers, and has a bustling nightlife and other leisure entertainment services.
In the afternoon, visit the Ciqikou Old Street and enjoy free shopping at JIefangbei Shopping Street. Transfer to airport and board flight to Beijing. Check in our airport hotel on arrival.

Day 14 Beijing Toronto

Free till pick up from hotel and transfer to airport to board overnight international flight to Toronto.
