Itinerary

Day 1 Beijing Arrival

On arrival in Beijing, greet and meet at Beijing airport and transfer to hotel. Refresh and relax at leisure.

Hotel: 5 star Prime Hotel Wangfujing or similar

Day 2 Beijing City Tour

Pick up from your hotel at 08:30 am. Visit to the world largest square-Tiananmen Square. Then move on to the largest Imperial Palace in the world-Forbidden City (UNESCO) where 24 emperors of Ming & Qing dynasty lived and controlled China from there for several hundred years.
A la carte lunch.
Pay a visit to the Temple of Heaven (UNESCO) which was built in 1420, once was the venue for the Ming and Qing emperors to offer sacrifices to Heaven and pray for good harvest for the coming new year. Return to hotel in the late afternoon.

Optional: Enjoy Acrobatic Show at only US$29 per person.

Day 3 Great Wall Tour

Pick up from your hotel after breakfast. Take a 2 hrs drive to Badaling Great Wall (UNESCO), the symbol of ancient Chinese civilization and the landmark of China.
Badaling Great Wall -It is one of the most famous sections among the Great Wall of China in Beijing which built more than 600 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. This section is some 70km away to downtown Beijing by superhighway and it is the closest section of the Great Wall to Beijing which can be visited in a half day. Great Wall at Badadling section was completely restored after 1957.
Afterwards, return to downtown Beijing and visit the Summer Palace (UNESCO). Built in 1750 and known as the existing largest, best-preserved imperial gardens of the world, the Summer Palace inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage List in 1998.
Our next stop will be an exterior visit of both the National Stadium - the "Bird Nest" and National Aquatics Centre - the "Water Cube".
Return to your hotel.

Day 4 Beijing Xian by train

This morning visit the old Beijing lanes by taking rickshaws. Hutong tour lasts for 2 hours. You can also have the chance to enjoy the porcelain factory, which is also a must in ancient Beijing tour.Then, you will take a high-speed train to Xian.
On arrival, our guide will greet you at the railway station and escort you to check in at the hotel.

Day 5 Terracotta Museum

Our sightseeing this morning features the Terracotta Warriors Army and Horses Museum. It is not only reputed as the world's Largest Military Museum but also the Eighth Wonder of the world. Found in 1974, it covers the three going hand in hand with pits of the first head of Qin's mausoleum. Everybody who visits here will be overpowered by its fabulous scale, exciting scenes, elevated expectation of science and workmanship in the antiquated times. Terracotta Warriors tour lasts about 3hrs.
The Qin Shi Huang Tomb is the Mausoleum of Emperor Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221BC-207BC) and also of China. Covering 2.13 square kilometers, the four-layered mausoleum, like a well-structured city, includes an underground palace, which is the center of the mausoleum, an inner city, outer city and grounds. Terracotta Warriors tour lasts about 3 hours.
Afterwards, pay a visit to the Muslim Street. Enjoy an exterior tour to Bell Tower or Drum Tower.

Day 6 Xian Chongqing

Visit the Small Wild Goose Pagoda including Xian Museum after breakfast, which is one of the most important surviving marks of the ancient capital Chang'an in the Tang Dynasty. Then you will head to Chongqing by flight.
On arrival in Chongqing, meet our guide and visit Hongqyadong. Located in commercial district of Chongqing, Hongyadong combines travel, business, and cultural scenery into one grand view. The area overlooks the intersection of two rivers, and has a bustling nightlife and other leisure entertainment services.
Visit the Ciqikou Old Street and enjoy free shopping at JIefangbei Shopping Street if time permit. Board the Yangtze cruise around 18:00pm.

Day 7 Yangtze cruising - Shibaozhai

Take a shore excursion to Shibaozhai, with its impressive wooden pagoda, appropriately named “The Pearl of the Yangtze”. Depending on river conditions, an alternate excursion may be substituted to Fengdu, visiting the new relocation village built for families who have moved as a result of the Yangtze’s rising waters brought about by the Three Gorges Dam. Additional optional Shore Excursion to Fengdu’s “Ghost City” on your own arrangment, known for its statues of ghosts and devils on Mingshan Hill.

Day 8 Three Gorges - “Small Gorges” - Shiplock

Enter the Three Gorges, one of nature’s most extraordinary sculptures. Today you will pass through the first two—Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Qutang Gorge is the shortest (5 miles), narrowest (500 feet), and most dramatic. The 25-mile long Wu Gorge is known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains, and cliffs so sheer that the sun barely penetrates the precipices. Transfer to another vessel for a relaxing excursion through the attractive gorges of Goddess Stream. Depending on river conditions, an alternate excursion may be substituted to the gorges of Shennong Stream. Enter Xiling Gorge, the longest (41 miles), and the deepest of the Three Gorges. In the evening, sail through the Three Gorges Dam ship locks. Additional optional Shore Excursion to White Emperor City on your own cost, an ancient city overlooking the western end of Qutang Gorge.

Day 9 Yichang Shanghai by air

At San Dou Ping, see the progress at the historic Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric project. Sail on to Yichang. Met by the local guide and transferred to airport for Shanghai, the largest city of China.
Upon arrival, meet our driver and transfer to our Shanghai hotel.

Day 10 Shanghai Tour

Pick up from hotel after breakfast.
Our sightseeing this morning is the Ming era Yu Garden which is the most famous classical garden of Shanghai.
Explore the Chenghuang Miao (City God Temple) which located within the old walled city, is the traditional district of commerce in the city, surrounding the temple. There are over a hundred stores and shops in this area, and most of these store buildings are nearly a century old. En-route, a comfort stop will be made at a silk rug factory.

Tour the more impressive Bund. Known as the symbol of Shanghai, the Bund featured with 52 high-rises of all styles stand in the west, showing the art of world architecture.
Enjoy a 45 minutes Huangpu River Cruise. Huangpu River cruises on Huangpu River are runned by many companies in Shanghai and it is one of the best way to visit Shanghai.
Huangpu River is a 82.5 kilometres-long river in Shanghai China, known as is the last significant tributary of the Yangtze before it empties into the East China Sea. The Bund and Lujiazui are located along the Huangpu River.
Huangpu River cruises depart from the Bund, sail to Huangpu Bridge in the south, turn and head north towards Wusongkou, and return to the Bund.
Visit the Shanghai Museum. Shanghai Museum located at No. 201 Renmin Avenue, one of the must-see Shanghai tourist attractions Shanghai, is well-known as a museum of ancient Chinese art.
