Day 01: Beijing Fly to Xining ( L )
Pick up from your Beijing hotel and drive to Beijing Capital International Airport to connect the morning flight to Xining. Meet our Xining guide upon arrival and drive to Qinghghai Lake. The lake covers an area of 4,500 square kilometres and it is the largest saltwater lake in China. Qinghai Lake is a don't miss destinations for all travellers. Surrounding by endless rolling grassland, it is the right place to look for an authentic Tibetan experience. After lunch, return to Xining and visit Kumbum Monastery. The Kumbum Monastery is located 30km away from Xining and it is one of the most important Yellow Hat sect monastery of the world. The monastery was built in 1577 and offers an authentic glimpse of the Tibetan Buddhist religious tradition. Check in your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 02: Xining - Lanzhou by train - Xiahe ( B+L )
Pick up from your Xining hotel and drive to Xining Railway
Station to connect the morning train K171/K174 (08:55 - 12:02) for Lanzhou. Meet our Lanzhou tour guide and drive to local restuarant to have lunch. Pay a visit to Gansu Museum after lunch. The museum is the largest one in Gansu Province, which has 70,000 relics, such as painted potteries dating back to the New Stone Age and bamboo strips of the Han Dynasty. Our next destination is Xiahe which takes 5hrs drive. Arrival Xiahe, chech in your hotel.

Day 03: Xiahe - Lanzhou by road ( B+L )
Pick up from hotel after breakfast. Visit the Labrang Monastery, which was first built in 1709. Known as one of the six monasteries for the Yellow Sect of Lamaism, Labrang Monastery enshrines 60,000 Buddhist scriptures and books. Ater lunch,
drive back to Lanzhou, some 280km away from Xiahe. Check in your Lanzhou hotel on arrival.

Day 04: Lanzhou - Yinchuan by train ( B+L )
Free at leisure in the morning. Pick up from hotel at noon and head for local restuarant for lunch. After lunch, pay a visit to the Bingling Temple Grottoes. As one of the most famous grottoes in China, it is loclated on Mountain Jishi along the northern bank of the Yellow River, southwest of Lanzhou. The grottoes were dug on the cliffs facing north and south, featured with 183 niches, 694 stone statues as well as 900 square metres of murals. Drive to Lanzhou Train Station to connect the train No.K916 ( 22:40 pm - 07:30 am ) for Yinchuan. Dinner will be on your own.

Day 05: Yinchuan ( L )
Arrival Yinchuan at 07:30am. Meet our guide and transfer to your Yinchuan hotel first. Pick up from your hotel at lunch time.
After lunch, visit the Western Xia Imperial Tombs. The tombs is some 30 km from Yinchuan city, measuring 50 square km, and 9 large tombs hold the remains of Western Xia emperors with 140 accompanying tombs. Each tomb is a complete construction group
featuring with a platform, outer city, coner tower, divine wall, stele pavillion, as well as hall for sacrifice.

Day 06 Departure ( B )
Free at leisure till pick up from your hotel before lunch time. Transfer to railway station or airport for departure. End of Beijing Silk Road tour.
