D02 Tiananmen Square Forbidden City Temple of Heaven ( B+L )
Pick up from your hotel in the morning. Visit the world largest square-tiananmen Square. Then move on to
the largest Imperial Palace in the world-Forbidden City
where 24 emperors of Ming & Qing dynasty lived and controlled China from there for several hundred years. After lunch, visit
the Temple of Heaven which was built in 1420, once was
the venue for the Ming and Qing emperors to offer sacrifices to Heaven and pray for good harvest for the coming new year.
D03 Badaling Great Wall Ming Tomb Olympic Green Take a 2 hrs drive to Badaling Great Wall, the symbol of ancient Chinese civilization and the landmark of
China. On the way, visit the jade factory where you can
buy some souvenirs. After Chinese style lunch, visit the Changling Mausoleum, the largest of the 13 Ming Tombs. The 13
Ming Tombs are the cemeteries of the 13 Ming emperors
after the Ming Dynasty moved the capital to Beijing. Enjoy an exterior tour to Beijing's iconic construction-Olympic Green,
the "Water Cube" and the "Bird Nest".Dinner will the delicious
Beijing roasted duck and enjoy the live Acrobatic Show.
D04 Summer Palace Beijing Fly to Urumqi ( B+L ) Morning tour features the Summer Palace. Known as the largest and best-preserved imperial gardens of the
world, the Summer Palace inscribed on the UNESCO's
World Heritage List in 1998. Enjoy a short visit of the number one silk complex. Transfer to the airport to connect the
flight for Urumqi. Meet our guide and transfer to hotel.
D05 Urumqi Q Kashgar Sunday Market ( B+L ) Take a morning flight to Kashgar, the far-flung city of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Upon arrival,
meet our local guide and transfer to hotel. Visit the famous
Sunday Market.
D06 Id Kah Mosque Old Town Abakh Khoja Tomb Kashgar Fly to Urumqi ~ Turpan ( B+L )
Tour the Id Kah Mosque located in the city center. As the largest mosque in China, the mosque was built in
1442. Follow the Old Town, north of the city center and
the Abakh Khoja Tomb, the family tomb of the powerful 17th century Kashgar ruler-Abakh Khoja.Take a flight to Urumqi and
then take a ride for Turpan, some 220 km away.
D07 Turpan Jiaohe Ruins Karez Irrigation Site Sugong Minaret ( B+L ) Visit the Jiaohe Ruins which was built in Han Dynasty. Tour the Karez Irrigation Site and the Sugong Minaret
in the afternoon.
D08 Gaochang Ruins Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave Train Journey to Dunhuang ( B+L ) Tour the Gaochang Ruins, the capital of local ruler in 7th century. After lunch, visit The Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves where many of Silk Road Travelers stopped
here to pay for a successfully journey. Take an overnight soft sleeper train T218# to Dunhuang at 2243pm.
D09 Mogao Caves ( B+L )
Arrival Dunhuang at 1048am. Meet our guide and transfer to your hotel and have a rest. Our tour features the
Mogao Caves. Boast 491 grottoes, Mogao Caves also
known as the 1000-Buddha Cave. It is the largest of its kind and one of the best-preserved treasures of the art in the
world.
D10 Dunhuang Fly to Xian ( B+L ) Enjoy a short camel riding along the Sounding Sand Dune. Visit the Crescent Moon Lake, which forms an oasis
at the deserts edge. Take a flight to Xian, the Museum
City. Meet our local guide and transfer to the hotel.
D11 Terracotta Warriors Shaanxi Museum Big Goose Pagoda ( B+L )
Our sightseeing this
morning features the Terracotta Warriors Army and Horses
Museum. It is not only reputed as the world's Largest Military Museum but also the Eighth Wonder of the world. Followed with
the tour to Shaanxi Provincial Museum which built after
the model of Tang Dynasty and featured with a total of 113,000 relics unearthed locally. Then visit the Big Goose Pagoda
which was built in AD 648. The pagoda is regarded as a
symbol of Xian.
D12 Xian Fly to Shanghai ( B ) Morning tour features the Ancient City Wall and the Bell & Drum Tower Square. Take an afternoon flight to
Shanghai. On arrival, meet our guide and transfer to hotel.
D13 Jade Buddha Temple The Bund Yu Garden Shanghai Museum
Former French Concession Area Our sightseeing this morning is Jade Buddha Temple, which was built in 1882, is a well preserved Buddhist
temple. Then visit the Ming era Yu Garden which is the
most famous classical garden of Shanghai. After lunch, tour the more impressive Bund. Known as the symbol of Shanghai, the
Bund featured with 52 high-rises of all styles stand in
the west, showing the art of world architecture. Then visit the Old French Concession Area, the White House and Pudong New
Shanghai-The People's Square.
D14 Departure ( B ) Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport/railway station for departure or at leisure. End of our memorable Silk Road travel tour. |
