D01 Arrive Kunming

Arrival in Kunming, meet our local guide and transfer to hotel. Free at leisure.

D02 Stone Forest Golden Temple ( B+L )

Enjoy half day excursion to the Stone Forest, a natural wonder which is 83km away from Kunming. It is a world of stone peaks, stalactite-stalagmites, subterranean lakes and underground limestone caves. For this topographical turmoil the place is dubbed "Number One Wonder in the World" . After lunch, drive back to Kunming and visit Golden Temple. Built in 1671,the temple has the largest bronze temple in China, weighing an estimated 250 tons. Transfer back to hotel.

D03 Kunming Fly to Zhongdian (Shangri-la) Songzanlin Lamasery Dukezong Ancient Town ( B+L )

Free at leisure till pick up from your hotel and transfer to airport for Zhongdian. On arrival, meet our local guide and transfer to hotel. Visit the Dukezong Ancient Town and the Songzanlin Lamasery this afternoon. Built in Ming Dynasty, the temple was one of the 13 big Lamaism Temples in the Kangzang region. Followed the style of Potala Palace in Lhasa, the Songzanlin Lamasery is home of over 700 lamas.

D04 Dabao Lamasery Three Parallel Rivers Tiger Jumping Gorge Zhongdian ~ Lijiang( B+L )

Morning tour features the Dabao Lamasery, built in Ming Dynasty and located some 15km away from Shangri-la. After typical Chinese style lunch, visit the Guihua Temple. Take a 2 hrs drive for Three Parallel Rivers scenic area which is covers more than 40000 square kilometres and concentrates such attractive scenery as high mountains, deep valleys, snow mountains, glaciers, forests, meadows, rare animals and plants. Visit the Tiger Jumping Gorge after lunch. Take 2 hrs drive to Lijiang which is one of China's cities of historic and cultural significance.

D05 Baisha Fresco Black Dragon Pool Dongba Research Institute Rock Joseph's Former Residence( B+L )

Morning tour starts with the Rock Joseph's Former Residence. Then visit the Baisha Fresco. After typical Chinese style lunch, visit the Black Dragon Pool which located at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The next stop is the Dongba Research Institute.

D06 Dayan Old Town Square Street Lijiang ~ Dali Xinhua Village ( B+L )

Morning tour features the Dayan Old Town. The old architectures and pathways here were rebuilt along the original style after an earthquake in 1996. The Square Street which is located at the heart of the Old Town offers a variety of handicrafts, from homemade griddlecakes to handpicked tea from Yunan. Lijiang became the first hill town to earn a World Cultural Heritage status from UNESCO. After lunch, take 2 hrs drive for Dali, the jewel of the Southwest China. On the way, visit Xinhua Village, a typical ethnic Bai village and is well-known for its beautifully natural environment, and the unique handicrafts.

D07 Cruise on Erhai Lake Xizhou Bazaar Three Pagodas Old Dali ( B+L )

Morning tour features the a boat ride on Erhai Lake. Then head for Xizhou Bai Minority Village and the bazaar, some 20km north of Dali. After lunch, visit Three Pagodas Temple, an obvious landmark of Dali. The temple was first built in 9th century and restored in 1978. The last stop is Old Dali. The only two remnants of ancient Dali here are its North Gate and South Gate. Another attraction within Old Dali is the Foreigner's Street , which boasts many souvenir shops, guesthouses, internet and cafe.

D08 Fly to Kunming ( B )

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to airport for Kunming. End of our memoralbel Yunnan ethnic travel.
