D01 Arrive Lhasa

Arrive at Lhasa airport, meet your guide and driver, and then transfer to Lhasa city. On the way, you can enjoy the heart-beating highland view along the Yearlong Tsangpo river (the longest river in Tibet with highest elevation in the world).After check in our Lhasa hotel, the rest time is free for relax and Acclimatize to the High Altitude.

D02 Lhasa Tibet group tour ( B )

Visit the Lhasa's best-known landmark, the Potala Palace. Comprised of the White Palace and Red Palace, the Potala Palace was first built in 7th century AD by Songtsen Gampo and rebuilt in 1642 by the 5th Dalai Lama.
Followed with a visit to the Sera Monastery which located at the foot of Tatipu Hill, in the northern suburb area of Lhasa. It is one of three well-known monasteries in Lhasa along with the Drepung Monastery and the Ganden Monastery. The Gelugpa or Yellow Hat Section of Tibetan Buddhism studies Buddhist doctrines using a step-by-step process. As a part of their study, lamas must participate in debates to further their comprehension and proceed to more advanced levels of study. The debating traditions in the Sera Monastery are unique among the three famous monasteries in Lhasa. Debates are conducted by the lamas in the monastery every day beginning at 3am. In a battle of words, they supplement their efforts by using a variety of gestures including clapping their hands, pushing their partners for an answer, or plucking their prayer beads to win the virtue of the Buddha. For a clear view of this unique event, an early arrival is recommended.

D03 Group Tibet Lhasa tour ( B )

Morning tour features the Drak Yerpa is a place that has deep meanings in the Tibetan spiritual culture. There is a saying goes like this: "Lhasa is the shrine of Tibet, Drak Yerpa is the shrine of Lhasa. Not seeing Drak Yerpa in Lhasa is just like making a dress without the collar." The entrance to the Yerpa Valley is about 16 km northeast of Lhasa on the northern bank of the Kyichu River.
From there, it is another 10 km to the famous ancient meditation caves.
Then pay a visit to the Jokhang Temple. Built in 7th century, the Jokhang Monastery is the oldest wooden-and-stone structure in Tibet and also one of the Tibet's holiest temples. After then, stroll around the around the temple is the Barkhor Street, the oldest street in a very traditional city in Tibet.

D04 Lhasa-Namtso[4740m]-Yangpachen hot spring(optional)[4300m]-Lhasa 500km 8hrs ( B )

On the way to Namtso, you will have a far view of Nyenchen Thanglha snow mountain ranges, enjoy the vast grassland and spectacular natural scenery. You'll arrive at Namtso after you pass the Nagela Pass[5150m]. It's the highest salt lake. It means "holy lake" in the Tibetan language. In the early summer, flocks of wild ducks fly to inhabit here and breed their offspring. Wild animals such as black bears, yaks, wild donkeys, bharals, foxes, roe deer and marmots can often be found around the lake. Highland thin-squama fish and non-squama fish are abundant in the lake. And around the lake grow some famous valuable medicinal plants such as Chinese caterpillar fungus, fritillaria and hsueh-lien-hua (also called snow lotus flower).You can do a bit trekking at the lake side or even a little Mountain climbing at Tashi Dor. In Nov. 14, 2005, Namtso Lake was selected as one of the five most beautiful lakes in China by Chinese National Geography magazine.
On the way back, you will have a chance to enjoy hot-spring at Yangbachen on your own expense if you would like to.

D05 Group Tibet tour end ( B )
After your breakfast, drive to the airport for departure. End of our memorable Lhasa-Namtso Lake Group Tour.
