Terms & Conditions
Please read the following carefully. Your reservation confirms that you have read, understood fully and agreed to that is listed in the conditions and limits on responsibility.
To make a booking, the reservation deposit is required upon your confirmation. The transfer charge is on your own. Your reservation is subject to availability and is not confirmed until we have emailed or faxed you a confirmation invoice. Any verbal quote given is an indication only of the final price and is subject to confirmation. The reservation deposit is non-refundable if the client makes cancellation of the tour but it may be applied for your next trip within 24 months. Receipt of your deposit will be taken as an understanding by Sino Tour that the customer has read and agree to be bound by our Terms and Conditions.
The final balance is due no later than 30 days prior to your chosen tour departure date or you can pay the final balance on arrival in China in cash. Failure to pay in full by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking, retain your deposit, and apply the cancellation charges set out in the paragraph headed “Cancellation by Client”.
In the event of a China tour booking being made within 30 days of the chosen tour departure date, we will require full payment of the tour cost.
Accepted methods of payment

The price of your China tour itinerary will be quoted in Chinese Yuan and calculated according to the exchange rates as quoted by the Bank of China.
The free baggage allowance within China: Economic Class-20kg; Business class – 30kg; First class – 40kg.
Tipping is an expected part in the tourism industry nowadays. Please read more on Tipping & Gratuities.
Any changes to your China tour itinerary prior to tour booking will be free of charge. We’ll apply the following fees to any confirmed and deposited China tours. You will also have to incur any additional charges imposed by airlines, Yangtze River cruise or suppliers. Please note that some suppliers, in particular airlines in China, do not allow a name change and may consider this a cancellation and re-booking with a 100% cancellation charge.
Amendment to confirmed & deposited tour - US$25 per request.
Transferring between tours within 30 days - US$30 per request.
Re-booking of airline tickets - US$20 per person (other fees may apply).
Amendment to Yangtze cruise–Full fare of Yangtze cruise.
Cancellation By client
30 days or more prior to commencement of services: we will refund the full cost to you except for the tour deposit, and the actual air or hotel cancellation fee if there is;
29 to 20 days prior to commencement of services: the penalty is 20% of the tour price;
19 to 10 days prior to commencement of services: the penalty is 50% of the tour price;
9 to 3 days prior to commencement of services: the penalty is 70% of the tour price;
Cancellation within 2 days prior to commencement of services: the penalty is 100% of the tour price.
Unused Travel Services: All unused portions of travel services after the departure date are not transferable, and not subject to refund at any time.
If the client cancels the trip, the client must inform us by mail or by fax. We calculate your refund on the day when we receive the written cancellation by Beijing time. All refunds to the client will be processed within 20 days of receipt of your cancellation.
Sino Tour is not responsible if an airline/train cancels, reschedules, or delays a flight/train for any reason. If you miss your departure flight/train, it is your responsibility to work with the airline/railway on which you are ticketed to reach your destination. Sino Tour is not responsible for any additional expenses you may incur prior to joining your trip. Sino Tour is not responsible for and will not provide any refund for portions of trips missed due to canceled, rescheduled, or delayed flights/trains.
Refusal of Service
Sino Tour reserves the rights to modify or discontinue the services to clients for reasons that impact on the enjoyment or safety of other tour members, or objectionably toward its employees and agents, e.g. but not limited to, the physical, medical or mental inability of clients to undertake the tour, unsocial or unruly behavior, or the carriage of prohibited substances and materials.
It is your responsibility to be in possession of a valid passport and visa or permits as may be required for the duration of the tour. Sino Tour may offer guidance for the necessary travel documentation upon your request but it is your own responsibility to make enquiries with the relevant authorities. Sino Tour accepts no responsibility for any failure in this respect.
Clients are required to familiarize themselves with any health requirements specific to the areas being visited. Clients who are aged 70 years or more, or with a pre-existing condition that affects their fitness to the tour, or any medical dietary requirement should be completed and email or fax us this document when booking. Clients should visit their Doctor for these aforementioned purposes, and/or to confirm that they are physically able to undertake the tour. Clients to Tibet are required to provide a doctor's certificate which states clients are physically able to undertake the Tibet travel.
Complaints and Claims
Should the customer not be satisfied with any services of the tour they must immediately inform the guide or our representative so that remedial action can be taken if possible. In any event of a complaint you must notify Sino Tour of any complaint in writing, within 15 days of the date of the completion of your tour. All relevant receipts and substantiating evidence must be attached to the letter of complaint or claim. Sino Tour will not be liable for any claims made later than 15 days after the completion of your tour.
As a tour operator for all people taking our China tours in the making of all arrangements for the transportation, sightseeing, and also China hotel accommodation and other related travel services. The air carriers, accommodations, and other suppliers (including but not limited to trains, cruises, ferries, motor coaches, hotels, and restaurants) providing services are independent contractors and are not agents, employees, servants, or joint ventures of Sino Tour or its affiliates. All certificates and other travel documents for services issued by Sino Tour are subject to the Terms and Conditions specified by the supplier, which are available upon request, and to the laws of China in which the services are supplied.
To ensure smooth and proper operation of the tour, Sino Tour reserves the right to cancel or change or alter or re-schedule the travel arrangements of air or ground transportation at its discretion with or without prior notice if found in the best interests of all parties concerned. The passengers will be responsible for any extra cost arisen in such cases.
We are not responsible for any unauthorized extra services that the client requires with the local agent, local guide or the driver temporarily in different cities beyond our confirmed itinerary. In this case, we will not take any responsibility for losses on shopping, extra attractions, destinations etc, but we will try our best to help our clients get out of the difficulties including chasing compensation if any damages or losses occur. Our mission is to provide an exceptional travel experience to every person who travels with us.
We are not responsible for acts of terrorism, political unrest, war, earthquake, landslide, delay or cancellation of the flights or cruises. Sino Tour assumes no responsibility for the loss or damage to baggage or property or for any injury, illness or death or for any damages or claims howsoever caused arising directly or indirectly from accidents loss or damage to person or property delays, transport failure, strikes, wars and uprisings or acts of God etc. over which the Sino Tour has no control.
